Prerequisites and Additional Information
Please read the information provided below before proceeding with your setup.
It is recommended that you use an Avigilon Alta service account, as they are less likely to change due to personnel turnover, resulting in less chance of a disruption. The account chosen must have sufficient privileges to manage users in the Safeguard groups within Avigilon Alta.
Users to be managed by OfficeSpace and Safeguard need to be placed into a single group/team within Avigilon Alta. All users in this group should have their End Date/End Time set to a point prior to the current date. This will effectively remove badgeless access.
You can bulk upload your user list in CSV file format. For assistance with this process, please talk to your Avigilon Alta representative.
Should you need assistance with configuring or troubleshooting Avigilon Alta, please contact your Avigilon Alta support representative.

Accessing the Avigilon Alta Integration Settings
Using the Hamburger menu, navigate to

Connectors menu on the left-hand side.
Activate

After integration is enabled, you'll see a pop-up prompting you to enter your Avigilon Alta credentials, ideally for a service account. Enter these credentials to proceed with the integration.
It is important to note that OfficeSpace will not store your Avigilon Alta credentials. If the integration is ever disabled, then a new, valid set of credentials will need to be entered to reactivate the connection between OfficeSpace and Avigilon Alta.
Configuring the Integration in Avigilon Alta
It is recommended that you work with your Avigilon Alta representative to make sure your instance of Avigilon Alta is correctly configured.
Assigning Group ID
As noted in the prerequisites above, you'll need to provide OfficeSpace with the
Group ID used in Avigilon Alta that contains the user accounts to be managed.
You can find the Group ID in Avigilon Alta by navigating to the Group Management page, and selecting the group of your choice. The
Group ID will then be displayed as a parameter in the URL, in your browser's location bar.
Configuring the Integration in OfficeSpace
Enter the Group ID into the
Group ID field (1) and select
Save ID (2). The non-editable
Group Name field (3) should be populated with a group name. If this group name appears incorrect, verify that you've entered the correct Group ID.
Users in this group will have their access disabled based on the expiration of their Safeguard form.
Finalizing Integration
In the Assigned Sites panel in OfficeSpace, choose which sites are to be integrated with Avigilon Alta. Only Safeguard results associated with the selected sites will trigger Avigilon Alta requests.
Selecting a site in the
Assigned Sites dropdown (1) will add it to the Site Name list, and selecting
Save Assignments (2) will store your selections in OfficeSpace.
Note that if no sites are selected here, then no users will be managed based on their Safeguard results.

To assign a site, select the checkbox next to that site in the
site list (1). If you'd like to assign all sites in your organization, use the
Select All toggle (2) above the list. After you've chosen all of the sites you'd like to assign to Safeguard and Avigilon Alta, select
Ok (3) to close the pop-up.

Select
Save Assignments at the bottom of the Assigned Sites area to save changes and assign your sites.
