Please note that your subscription plan determines the specific set of features available to you, which may result in differences between what you see and the images presented in this article. For further details on the features included in your plan, please contact your OfficeSpace Admin.

Attributes are a way of tracking the characteristics or features of your rooms and spaces. Assigning attributes to your spaces allows your employees to know what features are available to them and helps them to determine which rooms best suit the needs of their meetings. You have the ability to create your own distinct attributes to cover everything from projectors to a shared workspace. Attributes are managed in Preferences.

Room Attributes vs. Bookable Room Features

Attributes and features are managed separately within Preferences for your standard rooms and your bookable rooms. For your standard rooms and spaces, you can create attributes on the Manage Room Attributes screen. When locating a public room on your floor plan, room attributes allow your employees to know what attributes and resources are available within the space.

Bookable room features allow your employees to know what equipment and attributes are located in each bookable room. Employees can make more informed decisions when selecting a bookable room and ensure that they have the equipment and resources needed for their scheduled meetings.

The Manage Bookable Room Features screen is only available if you have Room Booking enabled in your system. To enable this feature, contact your OfficeSpace Administrator.

Managing Your Attributes

Your company can create and define as many custom attributes as you need. You have the ability to create new attributes one at a time, or you can conveniently add a list of attributes directly from Excel. Attributes can then be assigned to rooms and spaces, allowing you to track and report on their metrics. To learn more about creating and assigning attributes, check out the Creating and Assigning Attributes article.

Metrics involving attributes can be tracked in the Insights Hub. You can use the data to view the available attributes across your various sites and spaces. Check out the Workplace Reports article for more information on the data you can collect from attributes.
