Managing Request Subscriptions

Please note that your subscription plan determines the specific set of features available to you, which may result in differences between what you see and the images presented in this article. For further details on the features included in your plan, please contact your OfficeSpace Admin.
 

After your organization’s request types have been created, Request Managers can subscribe to them. A Request Manager’s subscribed request types determine the requests they can view and manage under the Active Requests tab. Request Managers can also choose to subscribe to email notifications for their desired request types. Request subscriptions are managed under the settings in Request Manager.

Request Managers are only able to manage their own request type subscriptions. Admin users can manage the subscriptions of other users. Use the dropdown at the top to select the user you want to adjust subscriptions for.

Subscribing to Request Types

On the Request Subscriptions screen, locate the desired request type for subscription from the list. Then, select the corresponding checkbox under the Subscribe column to subscribe to the request type.

If you would like to also receive email notifications, select the corresponding checkbox under the Emails column to subscribe to email notifications for the request type. You are only able to receive emails for the request types to which you have subscribed.

Then select Save to save your changes.

Subscribing to Email Channels

You are also able to subscribe to, and receive emails for, Email channels. Email channels allow you to create a custom email address that is tied to Request Manager and allows your employees to submit requests via email. To learn more about email channels, check out the Managing Email Channels article.

To subscribe to and receive emails for an email channel, select the corresponding checkboxes under the Subscribe and Emails columns respectively.

Then select Save to save your changes.

Limiting Subscriptions by Location

Using the Subscribe by Location toggle, you have the ability to limit the requests to selected sites and floors. This setting works with your request type subscription selections to show you only the request types you have indicated that are submitted at the selected sites or floors. 

To limit your subscriptions by location, toggle Subscribe by Location to on.

If all sites and floors are unselected, you will receive requests across all sites and floors. You can select the checkbox next to a site to limit your requests to that site.

If you want to limit requests by floor, expand the site dropdown (1) and then select the checkbox next to your desired floor (2)
