Facility Managers have the ability to view and manage almost anything across the sites and floors assigned to them by your company’s System Administrator. With broad access to the wide range of functionality within OfficeSpace, these users can feel confident that they have all the tools they need. Some access for Facility Managers may be customized. To learn more about modifying permissions, please see Managing User Role Settings.
Facility Managers have the same view in Visual Directory® as the other roles but with more functionality enabled. They are able to book Self Service and By Request desks on behalf of other users and their By Request bookings will automatically be approved. As well, Facility Managers are able to override the Check-In feature when creating a desk booking. For more information, check out the Introduction to Desk Bookings article.

Using Move Manager, these users are able to move employees to new assigned seats and manage the seating arrangements of your various sites. They are also able to track and view reports for the moves made using Moves List. To learn more about making moves, read the Making Moves in Manager article.

Facility Managers are able to make facility changes in your floor plans using the Facilities Editor. They can add and reposition seats, rooms, utilities, and more, to ensure that floor plans match any updates or changes to your offices. Facility Managers are able to forecast the changes to your sites and reallocation of your spaces using stack plans and scenarios. These users have the access to create stack plans and build scenarios, to keep on top of all your facility management needs. Read the Stack Plans article and the Scenarios article to find out more.

Using Insights Hub and Reports, Facility Managers can keep track of your site and company metrics. Additionally, these users are able to add and make changes to Assets, Attributes, Designations, and more using Preferences. Facility Managers can also utilize Preferences for tracking and providing more reporting information, if the user role is set up with the correct permissions. Facility Managers may also be able to access the Safeguard reports, based on their granted permissions, allowing them to track and review the responses of Safeguard submissions in their workplace. To learn more about the Safeguard reports, check out the Safeguard Reporting article.
If the Booking Manager and Request Manager features are enabled in the system, users with Facility Manager access will be able to manage both of these dashboards as well.
